I have rented storage space from Harrisburg East Self Storage two different times over the last 10 years. I have had an excellent experience both times. Units are always clean and well maintained and Alissa and the staff are great to work with. I would highly recommend them for your storage needs.
Harrisburg East Self Storage is a great place to store your stuff. We've been storing with them for 5 years. Allisa, Wendy and all the staff are AWESOME! A very safe and friendly place.

Stored my stuff here for a little over a year when I got all my stuff back everything worked and was in the same condition when it went in the people here are very friendly and helpful only reason I didn't get five stars is cuz the price went up a little but was still worth the privacy and safety as the storage units are gated in with a keypad

I stored my car here for about 9 months while I was away. Everything was perfect! It's safe (surrounded by a locked fence with cameras). It always felt great to know someone was watching it. They even called me when the car cover was starting to blow off from the wind. Also, very fair prices. Everyone I spoke with here was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend vehicle storage and would come back in the future.

A pleasant surprise! A small campground nestled amongst the trees just off I-283. Minutes from the Turnpike, shopping, and numerous restaurants. Easy in and out, paved interior roads, gravel sites. Some sites slope front to back a bit, but a level spot can be found. Quiet unless you are in the sites near 283 (higher numbered sites on each row). Clean pool, easy turns and clearances for big rigs. Delighted to visit again when touring the area.

I stayed in lot 106, and I Loved staying here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The campground was clean as were the bathrooms and showers. The park itself was quiet. You could hear the highway noise somewhat, but the road noise did quiet down in time for my bedtime. I didn't mind hearing the cars and trucks going by though.
I would stay here again!!

This campground is very convenient to Hershey (RV show) and not far from Gettysburg. With many RV parks now owned/run by large conglomerates, it was a pleasure to stay in a family owned campground. Very nice staff, grounds well maintained. We did hear some traffic noise from the next door interstate, but it wasn’t a huge deal. When our plans changed and we needed to return home a day early, the staff gladly refunded that extra day’s payment…almost unheard of these days.

The RV site was easily accessible and quite level. The utilities are at the very back of the site requiring extension for sewer connection in my case. Electric and water were within reach of my usual connections. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We booked a couple of weeks in advance for a one night in transit stop. This is our third time staying and they had the details of our prior stays on file and knew what we needed.

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Harrisburg East Campground! This is my second stay here and the experience has been great both times. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The park's location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, and I appreciated the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The amenities provided made my stay very comfortable, and I particularly enjoyed the scenic views and walking trails. I highly recommend this RV park to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I can't wait to return!

My one complaint...WOW, they're expensive!!! True, it's full hook-up, but it's not like they have to pay a maid to change the bed and clean the bathroom. The bathroom and showers here are amaaaaazing. Lots of trees! Within spittin' distance of the freeway, but heard NO road noise. Very quiet! But... $100 to park your own RV???

We had a deadline to beat & time sensitive conditions to meet & this campground supplied it all for us, including storage of our dolly & car! The location, staff & accommodations were just what we were looking for.
It was peaceful, lots of pretty green grass around & many shady trees to stay cool.
The renovated bathrooms were clean, neat, pretty & a joy, especially compared to a few other places we had recently been to. The RV park /campground was renovated with so many nice touches. Even the dump stations at each site were so simple & clean! All the spaces I believe were pull through & so big & spacious. The RV neighbors were so friendly & nice, but it's so great that everyone didn't have to be on top of each other.
The staff were so sweet, pleasant, available, helpful & eager to help us with anything. They even shared their produce from their garden with everyone! Thank you for the yummy, amazing fresh picked cucumber!
Overall it was an enjoyable experience!! Thank you so much! We will be back again!

We stopped at Harrisburg East Campground, Harrisburg PA, on the first leg of a very long journey in our Motorhome. Even with our late arrival the owner was there to greet us. She was so friendly and very accommodating. When I later called about a good pizza place that delivers to the campground she told me that they didn’t deliver but she would take me there in her golf cart. She did say that she was waiting for a locksmith for another guest so she might be delayed. When I arrived at the office she was gone with the locksmith but her son was there to drive me to get our pizzas. Who does that; apparently Harrisburg East does!
Great campground owned by wonderful folks.
Enjoy your visit.

We stayed in the campground the week between Christmas and New Years 2019. Since it was so cold, the campground was pretty empty, but the staff was wonderful - friendly & helpful. The bathrooms were very nice and clean! Of course the pool wasn't open but when I stopped in to see the facilities in October, it was open and looked so well maintained. Would definitely stay there again!

Great RV Park! The staff is THE BEST, I was met with friendly front desk personnel and was given detailed instructions about my site, the park and also the area. My site #104, was clean, level, and all hookups in good working order. Bathroom was clean and roomy. This park is overall highly rated for travelling close to all area highways and easy travel to nearby restaurants and attractions, of which there are many. A special thank you to Sherri, and Ann. I was storing my 34’ RV at this location and encountered several difficulties with my rig. Ann and Sherri went over and above in making sure my problems were fixed and that I had a safe spot to store my 5th wheel. This is the RV park to choose if your planning on camping in Harrisburg PA.

The Harrisburg East Campground provides outstanding customer service coupled with a convenient location to make any journey more enjoyable. Clean facilities, spacious parking and acreage, and friendly staff contribute to a sense of community that is hard to find at other campgrounds. I make it a point to stop here whenever I am traveling in the greater Harrisburg/Hershey area. In addition, a heated pool and an easily accessible laundromat add to the pleasure of staying here. I can’t say enough great things about this place!

We stayed 3 nights with friends in 35’ & 38’ motor homes. Sites were gravel, shady, fire rings, picnic table, good tv, WiFi slow as most are, and pool. Road noise but not unbearable. Picked up rental car from enterprise (which enterprise will pick you up at campground and drive you back to car place to get car) we visited Hershey, Amish country, and Gettysburg. Yes, we would stay here again.

This an older campground typical of the Northeast area. It is well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. The pull through sites for motorhomes (big rigs) with car attached are not going to fit easily and still have have proper access to hookups. The age of the campground just wasn't designed for the new big rigs.
The sites do provide good spacing between sites and pricing is very reasonable.
Most important is that all sites are graded for drainage and are not level !!! Leveling will require many blocks of wood for your jacks. With air bags deflated the back end is sitting close to the ground and you may find your front tires off the ground!!!

Level fairly spacious sites, some trees but our satellite worked. Try not to arrive at rush hour as the traffic on the way in could be quite congested. There is noise from the highway but in this location that is what I would expect.

We stayed recently for 10 days and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Updated bathrooms and laundry facilities. After seeing the $70 price tag to camp at Hershey Park, we decided to check around. This is why I love TripAdvisor. We found Harrisburg East, saw the reviews and the price and decided to make a reservation, although when we called he said we didn't need one!
We stayed at a tent site across the road from the main office. We are used to and prepared for REAL camping (no water, no power...anywhere) so this was easy for us. The port-a-potty for the tent sites was convenient, but I can't help but think - depending on septic connections, how easy and inexpensive it would be to build a basic two stall bathroom with one common sink. The water is already on that side of the road. Anyway, the bathrooms at the main office are impeccably clean, the showers are timed, but free and hot. We did not experience any pressure drop with flushing toilets. This is a fine spot to tent night or two, especially with the fresh garden tomatoes upon checkin.

We tent camped here for two nights, spending time at Gettysburg and Hershey. Tent sites were grassy and shaded by mature pines, central water and electricity, neither of which we needed. Nicest bathrooms ever and free ice complete with bags and twist ties were a terrific plus. Good laundry facilities--$.75 to dry clothes for 45 minutes is excellent. Very nice staff too. Campground is near highway, but we were all exhausted at the end of the day, so we had no problem with the noise. Pool looks great, other campers said it was very nice, but we had no time to use it.

We camped in August in a Shamrock 233S (Hybrid). This campground accommodates everything from Class A's to Pop Ups (Some other private campgrounds do not allow tent trailers). They also have an area on the other side of the road for tents. The grounds are well kept with a kind of retro feel. We loved it!
Pros:
* Clean, mostly level gravel sites
* Beautiful grounds including a heated pool and large playground
* Mature trees giving lots of shade
* Decent wifi, cable, and full hookup sites
* Close to Harrisburg and Hershey attractions
* Many restaurants nearby
* Target, Christmas Tree Shop, and other major stores nearby
* Customer Service is wonderful. The staff was very friendly! We genuinely felt welcome here. What other campground shares their homegrown vegetables with their campers? It really is a cool place.
Other Observations:
* Noise from the interstate and airport could be heard. We were in a hybrid tent trailer with bunk ends made of canvas. We had zero issues sleeping. If someone is a light sleeper, it might be an issue.
* Sites are slightly smaller than an average Pennsylvania State Park. Fire rings are available, but didn't look used in the RV section.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

We wanted to be close to Hershey without being right in the middle of everything and this was perfect. It took us ~20 minutes to get into Hershey from the campground with an easy drive. The facility is very clean. The bathroom showers are a little low in height (I'm 5' 10") but they were always very clean and the restroom area was as well. The sites were easy to access and very clean as well. This is the first campground we've ever been to that ice was free. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool area was nice but we didn't have a chance to use the pool.
Con: no camp store. There was a target and Walmart within 5 minute drive though.

We chose this place because it was only about a 15 min drive to Hershey Park. What a great choice! The grounds are spotless, the bathrooms are nicer than my own at home 😛and the staff was helpful and beyond personable!
We started out with only a one night reservation, but liked it so much that we stayed another night.
If you have little people with you, there is plenty of space to run and a good old fashioned playground. Also for big and little kids alike, there is a very nice, large, immaculate pool!
Will DEFINITELY make another visit here soon!

We stayed here for April vacation to visit Hersheyparks (which are a quick 15 mins away) Sites are flat, gravel (which I love - no dirt/mud), each power post has a small light, cable & wifi worked great, lovely trees provide just enough coverage and nice room around fire pit for chairs. Campground roads are paved and the campground itself is quite small so we were able to see our kids on their scooters nearly all the time. The playground/open field area is really nice - kids loved it. Pool looked big, large pool deck and in direct sun but it was not open yet in April. The bathrooms are immaculate and (kids said) rain shower heads in the showers! Free ice was a great bonus - when does that ever happen?! Highway noise on weekdays is considerably more but we were never bothered by it. Very convenient to fast food, restaurants and shopping too. We stayed at 2 KOA's after this place and this place, hands down, was the nicest (and cheapest!).

It's the little things that count. Like the succulent collection in the men's washroom or the basket of apples in the laundry room. The sign at the exit telling one how to get back onto the highway. The customer first attitude of the staff. I had forgotten that this park uses throttling software on its internet service that cuts you back to the stoneage if it determines you're using too much bandwidth. I would have appreciated a level campsite but no place is perfect. The park is in the middle of a major city, near an expressway and an airport whose jets roar overhead.
Open year round including water and sewer. Washroom with free showers. Firewood for sale. Rather packed in sites.

Staff was very polite and professional; sites are immaculate and met our needs to the T, HOWEVER, I was very much looking forward to 3 days of swimming to my heart's content. They advertise "heated pool" and stated on check-in that the pool's open till 6 PM. The day of our arrival, I went down to swim and both gates are pad locked but I didn't inquire. The 2nd day, still locked so I DID inquire and was asked if I wanted "to go in there and sit." Said I wanted "to go in there and swim." "Propane man didn't fill tank on last visit." Pool temp ranged from 60-63 degrees. The person in charge said, "we're closing it anyway on the 19th." Well, I'm here on the 7th and that's almost 2 weeks from now. The pool was beautiful and I was dying to swim but I'm not hardy enough for that temp. Heated pool was primary reason we chose that facility. To say I was bummed out and disappointed would be an understatement. Might that be false advertising?

My family stayed here this past weekend to go to the RV show in Hershey. It was only a 20 minute drive away, which is why we picked it. The campground was very clean and the staff was very nice. We enjoyed ourselves and would go back. We honestly didn't notice the road noise, but that may be because we live along a busy road and can tune it out.

We stayed here for 4 nights and were very pleased. It is clean and roomy and the staff is very nice. They have spacious gravel sites, although they are not level. Most sites are shaded. The cable and wi-fi work great. The bathrooms are clean and have curtained shower stalls. They even have free ice. It is next to the interstate, but we did not have a problem with noise. It's a bit pricey ($65 for the night after Labor Day, $55 after that), but we would still stay here again.

Our visit to Hbg East Campground. Smaller, clean and convenient getaway. Mostly shaded sites equipped with all the RV amenities. Picnic table, fire ring, E/W/S & C... for one price. A little more than other campgrounds but you get what you pay for. I have no complaints at all. Close to Rt 283, yet if you stay closet to pool side, you barely hear it. Pool nice, clean and heated. Family had a lot of fun. Will definitely be returning .

In general, we loved this place. It has spacious, crushed stone, pull-through sites with full hookups, great WiFi, and cable. The playground for the kids is large and has lots of equipment, the pool is heated, and the caretakers share their garden bounty with campers in season. It's also the cleanest - and I do mean THE cleanest - campground we've ever visited. The restrooms and shower are absolutely spotless. The WiFi is stronger than most and the cable channels should keep even the most ardent TV viewer satisfied. It's located very close to Hershey and within walking distance of a small general store.
If only it weren't right on an interstate... It was a hot evening so our AC was on most of the time, which made the road noise tolerable. But if we'd had the windows open it would have been really noisy. That's the ONLY reason I can't give this campground 5 stars. Hubby wants to return to this area to do all the civil war sites and we will likely return to this campground.

Spacious and clean RV sites and facilities, and a pleasant office staff. Only stayed her overnight as it was convenient to HersheyPark (about a 20 minute drive).
A bit over priced for the amenities, but convenience was the deal.

We truly didn't fully appreciate this campground last year when we stayed overnight but changed our minds this year. Convenient to Harrisburg (which is a neat Capitol city), spacious RV sites, great office staff, and one of the cleanest, best maintained campground we've stayed in during our 2 short years of being. Yes it's more expensive than we normally spend and discounts only for military, but we're definitely come back again.

Our site (as well as the looks of everyone else's) had plenty of space and shade. We had a trailer with beds, so the camp's provided facilities are very important to me. The bathrooms were incredibly clean and new. The laundromat was convenient, the pool is beautiful. The campground is near everything, including hershey park and shopping centers. The staff is super nice!! The only complaint is that the highway is so close you can hear the cars all day (it might be loud in a tent) but it's very muted in the trailer. Very reasonably priced!!

Very nice showers, laundry facilities and free ice! Staff were friendly and helpful. Even though you can hear the traffic from the highway, it was still cozy and felt like camping in the woods. Lots of trees. Sites were easy to get into. Even though we didn't use the pool, it looked nice. Well maintained, level spots. Close to Hershey and Civil War Museum.

This is a quaint little campground. Plenty of room for your rig big or small. There are new owners so I think they are doing a nice job of working on the place. They have made more rows in the back all with 50 amp and full services. Some people complained about the highway noise but really you are In the city get over it. There are lots of trees. The bathrooms are clean and there are 3 of each. Nice pool area. Laundry and free ice. I do think the price is a bit much however it is more expensive to stay in Hershey. But if the owner would at least consider a good Sam discount he might be more full. Very nice staff. Don't forget to visit boulevard pizza that is within walking distance. Great food

This campground is located near Hershey, Harrisburg and close to the airport. It is a small campground but the owners have made major upgrades. The only downside is the highway right next door. If your are staying for a few days ask to be in the middle of the campground. In the summer they have a pool and games. They have a small playground for smaller children.

I think this campground is beautiful, well-cared for, and clean. It is small, but not uncomfortably so. The sites are all well shaded abd pull-thru and we had full hook-ups. There is a playground for the kids, an in-ground pool (it wasn't warm enough for us to use), laundry, and very clean, well-kept restrooms. My only complaints are that the Interstate right at the end is noisy and some of the spots are a little tight (due to the trees). I would definitely come back, so the Interstate noise can't be too awful.

This is a perfectly nice campground - about 50% full of seasonal campers. A little bit close to the freeway, but generally not too bad for road noise. The pool on site is nice, with plenty of chairs and free pool floats. My only complaint is our tent site 801 was right next to the road/intersection, which doesn't seem to actually go anywhere so why are people driving by at all hours of the night?? I thought someone was going to drunk drive off the road into our campsite. All the other tent sites were fine I would just ask for another area next time. Other than that this campground was awesome!!

brand new clean men's showers and bathroom. (I did not go into the women's shower)
crystal clear swimming pool. great over sized shaded tent sites. I was with a group of 35 friends and we could not fill all the sites.
very close to Hershey park and Gettysburg, which was a A+.
very close to great restaurants to fit every ones budget and tastes.
also close to shopping for last minute forgotten items. Staff treated us like family.
I am speaking for everyone on our trip we are looking forward to returning next year.

Wonderful ladies that will work with you to make you happy!!
We are on lot #103 and totally pleased, clean camp ground and very courteous ladies to help and assist in any way they can.
Quiet and orderly facilities.
Shaded sites and paved roads to sites. No wood picnic tables; the good, long lasting ones.
Swimming pool too.

We have stayed in this campgrounds many times (several times a year). The roads are paved and the sites are gravel and in great shape (meaning they keep up the sites thickly graveled). They have mature trees which helps cut the noise from the highway at the back of the campgrounds. You can hear traffic noise but not very loud. If you are use to campgrounds in the country away from highways and major roads it may bother you more. However, Here on the east coast those are hard to find. But the noise to us is so minimal that it doesn't bother us. It's a quite campground and they were pretty booked up. Police do cruise in occasionally. There is no gate. They do have cable which is great since they have mature trees and you may or may not get Satellite depending on you site and location of your Satellite dish. They have been constantly improving the campgrounds over the years and everything is kept up very well. Pool was clean and inviting. Rules are more than reasonable. This is not a party type campgrounds which is good for us. Hosts are fantastic. They are nice and friendly and seem to enjoy their job and very people friendly and are very accomodating with reasonable requests. We usually get site 102 for some reason, which is smaller width wise and very little grass area, which is no problem for us. It is a pull-thru, full hookup site with room for 2 cars in front on a grade as most of the other pull-thrus. The sites are level except for car parking areas which are on a grade. We have a 40 foot motor home and had plenty of room for the length of our motorhome and the full side slide out. Most of the other pull-thur sites looked like the level areas were longer than our site (except 101). There is great wifi at the site. Had no problems with electric or cable or sewer. We have not had any problems with any of our stays here. I did not use the bath houses so I can't comment on them. Office is small and I don't believe they have a store but they are stores along the way to attractions. Don't believe there was any kid activities but we don't have minor children, so if you can't entertain your own kids this may not be the place for you. I have seen kids around but most the time their parents are with them and they are under control. Only one time out of many stays, did we have 2 small kids without parents run through our campgrounds.

We work in the area however not our home location. Due to an event after work, we decided to pull the trailer and stay the night. We choose this because the cost was lower then the Hershey campground. This facility was small however perfect for us. The bathroom was very clean. Staff is learning however very pleasant and helpful. I would stay again for sure.
